William was born March 2, 1922, in Columbus, to the late Edward J. and Adelina (Schuette) Pardieck and lived his early life in Jonesville.
He was a longtime member and served as an usher at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church. He was involved in the family business, Pardieck’s Garage and Hardware in Jonesville and was a partner in Pardieck’s Ace Hardware at Clover Center in Columbus. He enjoyed gardening.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, February 9, 2015, at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, 719 Fifth Street, with the Pastor Mark Teike officiating. He will be laid to rest in Garland Brook Cemetery following the service.
A time of visitation will be held from 2 until 6 p.m. Sunday at the Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home, 3855 25th Street, and from 10 a.m. until service time on Monday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter’s Lutheran School, Trinity Lutheran High School or Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.
William is survived by two nephews, Gilbert (Mary) Pardieck and Wayne Armuth, both of Columbus; two nieces, Eileen (David) VonFange and Lorene Bradley, both of Columbus; a sister-in-law, Ellen Pardieck; seven great-nieces and nephews; and several great-great-nieces and nephews.
William was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Orville Pardieck; two sisters, Evelyn Armuth and Leona Pardieck; nephew, John Armuth and niece, Kathryn Schaefer.
