Roscoe Marion Hamilton, 69, died at the VA Medical Center in Dayton, Ohio on Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2015.

Born March 7, 1945 in Connersville, Ind., the son of the late Dora Hamilton and Roscoe Hamilton Sr., he served in the U.S. Navy in the 1960s. After his discharge, he worked in construction as a welder.

He is survived by his longtime partner of 20 years, Sharon Clark; daughter and son-in-law, Wilma and Paul Flynn of Greenfield, Ind.; son and his partner, Michael Shane Hamilton and Valerie Baker of Oldenburg, Ind.; step-children Jackie Sidell of Greenwood, Ind., Anthony St. Clair and Jeff Garci of Connersville, Ind.; 14 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; brother Arthur and wife Barb Hamilton of Connersville, Ind.; sisters Ida Fields and husband Bob of Laurel, Ind., Helen Waggner of Alabama, Gilberta Cornett and husband Ed of Connersville, Ind.; many nieces and nephews; longtime friends DeWayne and Sandy Robinson of Connersville, Ind.; and beloved dog Clyde.

Mr. Hamilton was preceded in death by his sister, Ella Jane Robinson; brothers Kenny and Frank Hamilton; and a brother-in-law, Harold Waggner.

He was cremated and a service will be announced at a later date. Arrangements by Todd Funeral Centre & Crematory, Rushville, IN.
