Nathaniel was born outside of Snyder Texas while his parents were doing a bit of wandering between Texas and Oklahoma. In 1914, he married Ora Smith in Little Elm, TX and they lived in and around Hobart OK and started their family with daughter Vada, followed by John, Harbert. Imajean, and Floyd. Imajean died from pneumonia in 1928. In 1937, they moved to Whittier CA, and their final child Barbara was born there in 1937. While he had been a farmer earlier in his life, he got into construction in California and several of his sons followed him into the construction business. All three of his sons proudly served in the Armed Forces during WW2.
