Hilda Affeldt was born in Foley, Minnesota on October 3, 1904, the daughter of Fred and Bertha Affeldt. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. She was united in marriage with Arthur Eugene Anderson in 1924. To this union three children were born. Mr. Anderson died in 1936. In 1938 she was united in marriage with Norman Alm. They made their home in Alexandria and in Minneapolis, and then in 1968 retired in Osakis. She was a member of the Osakis Lutheran Church.
Hilda passed away at the Douglas County Hospital in Alexandria on Wednesday, April 30, 1975, at the age of 70 years.
She is survived by her husband Norman; two sons, Myron Anderson of Fargo, N.D., and Gaylen Anderson of Alexandria; and one daughter, Majel (Mrs. Richard Olson) of Portland, Oregon. Also surviving is her sister Lydia (Mrs. Ralph Brackin) of Wahpeton, North Dakota. She is further survived by nine grandchildren.
Her funeral was held at Osakis Lutheran Church, May 3, 1975 with Pastor C. David Helgen officiating. Pallbearers were Carl Johnson, Carl Mielke, John Bentfield, Harry Tenhoff, John Tenhoff and Chet Klobes. Interment was made at the West Evergreen Cemetery, Osakis. Arrangements with Roy Funeral Home in Osakis.
