He was born in Goshen, Indiana to Russell J and Marice A Stump.
His wife, Evelyn, preceded him in death in 2012.
He is survived by his five children and their spouses. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 28 great- grandchildren, eight great-great-grandchildren, his brother Dan Stump of Albuquerque, NM and sister Dorothy Prout of Bloomington, IN.
He served his country in the Navy during WW II where he learned his skills as a machinist. After moving to Albuquerque in 1954, he worked as a machinist and tool and die maker. He established a business partnership at Benischek Manufacturing Company and eventually established his own company; Custom Manufacturing.
Russell was very active in his church serving for years on church boards and private school boards.
Family members will receive friends for a Memorial Service on Sunday, February 1, 2015 at 3 pm at Heights First Church of the Nazarene located at 8401 Paseo del Norte NE, Albuquerque.
