He was the son of Pilbos and Antaram Der Avedisian, likely born in the 1870s likely 1874-1877. His father Pilbos was the son of the priest of the village of Mashgerd, Arapkir in Turkey, the Ottoman Empire and it is believed Mugurdich was born there as well. It is possible that he moved away to the capital Constantinople, as his children are known to have lived there, but this is not certain. Mugurdich is believed to have married a woman named Antaram, and had children Pilbos, Antaram, Hermine, and Lucia. It is not known what happened to Mugurdich or when he died.
