Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Bismarck Funeral Home and will continue one hour prior to service at the church.
Adam was born Nov. 28, 1908, in Tuttle, to Adam and Magdalena Dockter. He graduated from the School of the Deaf in Devils Lake in 1931. Adam married Irene Crouse in Jamestown on Nov. 18, 1950. He worked as a barber in Steele. Adam worked for Sweetheart Bakery for 29 years as an ovenman and retired in 1973. He was a member of the Eagles club for 61 years. Adam loved life and people, he enjoyed socializing and being around his grandchildren and family.
He is survived by his wife, Irene; his daughter, Diane (Dale) Frafjord, Bismarck; a granddaughter, Rakel (Frafjord) Meyer, Bismarck; his great-grandchildren, Timothy Ell and Kristen Meyer, both of Bismarck; his sister, Helena Kurth, Lincoln, Neb.; and his brother, Benny Dockter, Washington.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.
