Eddie Ace Tanner

TANNER Eddie Ace Tanner, 84, passed away at home on April 3, 2010 surrounded by his family. Eddie retired from the U.S. Navy as Senior Chief. He also achieved retirements from the Railroad Express Agency and Director of Transportation at NAS Jax, Cecil and Mayport in 1980. Eddie then began a small irrigation business "Ace Sprinkler Systems" where he and his wife enjoyed working side by side for several years.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Elizabeth, a son Andrew Tanner, three daughters, Sandy (Bart) Simoneaux, Nancy (Jimmy) Slater and Johnnie Breed. He also leaves seven grandchildren, Tanner, Sydney and Noah Simoneaux, Allison Tate and Scott Slater, Mike and Terry Cordell and eight great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at the Hardage-Giddens Mandarin Chapel on Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at 3pm. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery. Arrangements under directions by Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 11801 San Jose Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 904-288-0025
