WADLEY) Funeral services for Ruby Anna Heard Daniel, 80, of Wadley, formerly of Florence, were Monday, Jan. 26, 2015, at 11 a.m. at Mt. Springs Baptist Church with the Revs. Chris Underwood and Jimmy Sprayberry officiating. Burial followed at Wadley City Cemetery.
Mrs. Daniel died Friday, Jan. 23, at East Alabama Medical Center.
A Randolph County native, Mrs. Daniel was born Nov. 29, 1934, the daughter of Stell Blake and Lanie Frances Morrison Heard. She was a member of Mt. Springs Baptist Church and was a retired children's minister at Highland Baptist Church in Florence.
Survivors include: two daughters, Sherry Daniel Sprayberry and her husband Jimmy and Lori Daniel, all of Wadley; one son and daughter-in-law, Chip and Shannon Daniel of Florence; four grandchildren, Drew Sprayberry, Hayden Woodruff, Ben Daniel and Sam Daniel; two great-grandchildren, Ava Grace Woodruff and Jude Lee Sprayberry; one sister, Jean Owen Cosper of Oxford; and two brothers, George Thomas Heard of Oxford and Charles Lee Heard of Decatur. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bobby Daniel; grandson, Lee Daniel Sprayberry; two sisters, Myrtis Heard Bates and Daisy Heard Eason; and three brothers, Arthur Heard, Arnton Heard and Albert Heard.
Pallbearers will be Wallace Bates, John Heard, Phillip Heard, Robert Eason, Jr., Donald Heard, Bud Heard and Oliver Heard.
