Some sources give Katharine's maiden name as AGAN. She was the wife of JOSEPH HALSTED. The birth registry shown in this memorial was pasted in the Family Bible of EDWIN TYLER & HARRIET CAROLINE DOUGLASS. Harriet, my 2X-gr-grandmother, is the daughter of SARAH HALSTED who married DARIUS DOUGLASS. Sarah, in turn, is the daughter of JOSEPH & KATHARINE HALSTED, my 4X-gr-grandparents. I can't verify the total accuracy of this record since Harriet's bible (1880) and family were 2 generations removed from her grandparents. Rather, I offer it up to the descendants of the other various Halsted and allied family branches to either prove or refute. Furthermore, I hope the descendants of the various other lines of Joseph & Katharine Halsted will find a way to LINK their branches to this memorial, as well.
