Mrs. Acynath Bryan (Miss Chubby) Attaway, 90, of Sylvania, died Saturday night, January 24, 2015, at Ogeechee Area Hospital Inpatient Facility in Statesboro, GA.

She was born October 6, 1924, in Screven County, Georgia to the late Percy McCall and Annie Mae Heath Bryan.

She was a retired nurse and was a member of the Black Creek United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Lansing Edward Attaway, sisters, Ruth B. Waters and Sybil B. Thompson.

Surviving Mrs. Attaway are: a daughter, Sheryl A. Coker of Martinsville, Virginia, a son and daughter-in-law, Bryan J. and Cricket Attaway of Sylvania, 5 Grandchildren, Alison S. Reed, Jennifer A Huelsewiesche, Morgan Attaway, Joseph Attaway, and Paul Attaway, 4 Great-Grandchildren, Jack Reed, Adam Reed, Molly Reed, and Ezra Huelsewiesche and several nieces and nephews.

Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home of Sylvania is in charge of all arrangements.
