Virgie Janoe Taylor was ushered by angels from this life on January 23, 2015. She was born on June 27, 1916 in Spring City, Tennessee to Enoch and Dica Anna Janoe. She came to Oklahoma in 1918 in a covered wagon. Her family settled at Long Creek, which was near Hugo. She married William Bryant Taylor and was blessed with four amazing children. Granny Virgie, as she was known, leaves behind a legacy of love for family, friends, cooking, gardening, and an optimistic attitude. She was a great cook, had a green thumb that allowed her to grow anything, and she always had a smile that would radiate the room and a kind word that would touch your heart. She was a dedicated member and servant at Victory Assembly of God in Rattan, OK. Those waiting to greet her in heaven include her parents, Enoch and Dica Anna Janoe, her first love, William Bryant Taylor, all her brothers and sisters including her twin brother, Virgil, her grandson, Ken Micheal Taylor, and most importantly her firstborn Arthur Dean Taylor. Granny also touched the lives of many who she considered her extended family in the community of Rattan, at Victory Assembly of God, and at Choctaw Nursing Home. She also leaves behind one very special friend, Judy Frandsen. Memorial services will be held Saturday, January 31, 2015 at 2:00pm at Rattan Cemetery with Bro. Dave Goff officiating.
