Elloree - Edwin Allen Kennerly, 52, of 115 Whistling Swan Road, died at his home unexpectedly on Thursday, January 22, 2015. Funeral service will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday, January 25, 2015, at Elloree United Methodist Church, officiated by Rev. Barry Allen, assisted by Rev. Paul Hamilton. Burial will be in Elloree Hillcrest Cemetery. The casket will be placed in the church at 2:00 p.m. Fogle-Hungerpiller Funeral Home in Elloree is in charge. Pallbearers will be Mike Adams, David Ardis, Tommy Bachman, Andrew Bull, Stewart Bull, William Bull, Craig Hill, John Kennerly, Mike Prater and Bert Strock. Honorary pallbearers will be members of Elloree Lodge #80, Knights of Pythias, members of the International Paper E.&I. Shop and Elloree Volunteer Firemen. Mr. Kennerly was born in Orangeburg County, May 1, 1962, a son of the late Johnnie Lanier Kennerly and the late Merle Griffith Kennerly. He was a member of Elloree United Methodist Church. He was a graduate of Hunter, Kinard, Tyler High School and Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College. He was employed as an electrician with International Paper Company. He was an avid fisherman; he especially enjoyed saltwater fishing. Mr. Kennerly was a member of Elloree Lodge #80, Knights of Pythias, where he served as Past Grand Chancellor of the S.C. Grand Lodge and had currently served as the Grand Lodge Treasurer. He was a member of Elloree Charity Lodge #62 A.F.M. where he served as a Past Worshipful Master. He was a member of the Elloree Fire Department and served on the Board of Directors. Survivors are his wife, Karmen Bickley of the home; two brothers, Johnnie Lanier Kennerly Jr. and wife, Beth, Campobello, S.C., Phillip A. Kennerly and wife, Susan, Santee, S.C.; one sister, Sandra Nettles and husband, Chandler, Springfield, S.C.; his mother and father-in-law, Kenneth and Christine Bickley, Elloree; nieces and nephews, John Kennerly, Lauren McGill and husband, Heath, Kristy Strock and husband, Mark, Emily Jeffcoat and husband, Chris, Mary Virginia and Sara Marie Ardis, Andrew and Stewart Bull; three great nephews, Alex, Logan and Kennedy Strock; sisters-in-law and husband, Yvette and William Bull, and Myra and David Ardis.
