FATHER OF TWO COUNTY PEOPLE DIES IN HOSPITAL

MOUNT PLEASANT -- Nathaniel Mason BURSIDE, 75, resident of Mount Pleasant, and father of two local residents, died at Utah Valley Hospital following surgery April 09.

Born November 14, 1894 in Mount Pleasant, he was the son of Thomas J. and Mary Jane BURNSIDE. He married Fannie BILLS April 24, 1918 in the Manti Temple. They had seven children. She died February 16, 1970.

Mr. BURNSIDE's hobbies were gardening, genealogy work, temple work and helping widows, friends and relatives. He was a very active church worker and held many position in the L.D.S. Church.

Survivors include a son, Wesley M. BURNSIDE, Provo; three daughters, Mrs. Clair (Venna) VANCE, Orem; Helen B. NELSON, Salt Lake City; and Mrs. Joseph M. (JoAnn) CONTE, Los Angeles, California; eight grandchildren, one great-grandchild; five brothers, Roy BURNSIDE, Sacramento, California; Leonard BURNSIDE, Mount Pleasant; Clyde BURNSIDE, Kenilworth, Utah; Robert BURNSIDE, Burley, Idaho; and Harry BURNSIDE, Mount Pleasant, and a sister, Mary B. MOWER, Fairview.

Funeral will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday at the Mount Pleasant First Ward Chapel. Friends may call at the Ursenbach Funeral Home of Mount Pleasant from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Sunday and one hour prior to Services. Burial will be in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery.

His hobbies were gardening, genealogy, temple work and helping widows, friends and relatives.

He is survived by a son, Wesley, and three daughters, Mrs. Venna Vance, Helen Nelson, JoAnn Conte. Five brothers, Roy, Leonard, Clyde, Robert and Harry and a sister, Mary B. Mower.
