Royce June was born on the family farm near Weatherford, Parker County, Texas, to the late Felix Royster Crow and Pearl Addie (Dobbs) Crow. She was a graduate of Fort Worth Polytechnic and later attended Baylor University. Royce married James "Jim" Chapman on April 6, 1951, in Fort Worth. She taught school for several years in Bastrop and Pleasanton and also worked as a librarian at Moody Library at Baylor. Royce was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Hubbard.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Eddie Foy Crow; and a sister, Cynthia "Cindy" Joyce Crow Kerby.
Survivors include her husband of nearly 64 years, Jim Chapman, of Hubbard; daughters: Kathy Chapman Collins and husband, Andy, of Arkadelphia, Arkansas, Karry Chapman, of Mansfield, and Karla Chapman Smith and husband, Stephen, of Arlington; son, James Herbert Chapman, of Hubbard; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brother, Bryan Crow and wife, Wanda, of Anaheim, California; brother-in-law, Jim Kerby ,of Temple; sister-in-law, Gene Crow ,of Dallas; several nieces, nephews and other extended family members.
