She died at age 74 on Wednesday, October 20, 1954 at Lawrence Hospital in New London. She was predeceased by her husband, Arthur D. Ficke. Survivors included one son, Stanhope B. Ficke [1912-1975]; one sister, Mrs. Frances Tifft of Springfield, Massachusetts and one niece, Mrs. Arthur P. Clarke of Springfield. Interment was at Oak Grove Cemetery.
