TRIPLE FUNERAL IS HELD AT CARPIO

The epidemic in the vicinity of Carpio is exacting terrible toll among the residents of that section. On Monday of this week the funeral of Mrs. Paul Lillenas and of Mr. and Mrs. George Lillenas was held from the Lutheran church six miles northeast of Carpio. Mrs. Paul Lillenas had been ill of the disease about ten days. Her death occurred Monday morning. Her husband is a prominent farmer and two children, one an infant of but three months and a little three year old son are left to mourn the untimely death of a loving mother. Mr. and Mrs. N. H. Dybrig of Colton, S.D., parents of Mrs. Lillenas, arrived a few days before her death and remained for the funeral, taking the little baby back to make her home with them. Mr. and Mrs. George Lillenas, whose deaths occurred on Friday and Saturday had been married but a year, the wedding taking place in June of last year. The funeral of all three victims of the influenza was held from the Lutheran church Monday afternoon at four o’clock, the Reverends Rugland and Vogt conducting the services.
