Andrew Alberts, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harman J. Alberts of west of Culbertson, passed away on April 29, 1932 at the McCook hospital.

Andrew Alberts was born at Hildreth, Nebraska, July 10, 1907. He spent most of his life with his parents west of town. He together with a cousin had made plans to farm alone this year near Cornell. But early this spring an ailment returned, aggravated by a slight accident, that caused him to return home under a doctor's care. There being no improvement, he was taken back to the McCook hospital, where everything was done for him that doctors and nurses could do. For a time there seemed to be hope, but only temporarily. Though little hope was held out for him the end came rather unexpectedly, when April 28 found him as well as usual. During the night a sudden change for the worse brought his parents and a few relatives to his bedside. His release from very patient suffering came early in the morning April 29.

Funeral services were held Sunday, May 1, at the St. John's Lutheran Church. Rev. Wegener, who had instructed and confirmed him, delivered the sermon. Interment was made in the Culbertson cemetery.

Andrew Alberts born July 10, 1907 and died April 29, 1932, attained the age of 24 years, 9 months, and 19 days. He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harm J. Alberts, five brothers and three sisters. One brother and two sisters had preceded him into death. Quite a number of relatives from Hildreth, also some from Sterling, Colorado, and Haigler, Nebraska, attended the funeral. Six cousins acted as pallbearers.
