Tulia, Texas—Elmo Edmonds, 78, died Friday, January 16, 2015 in Lubbock. Memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Friday, January 23, 2015 in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel in Tula with Mr. Bill Holt, his cousin officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia.

Elmo was born August 16, 1936 in Portales, NM to George and Doll Edmonds. He moved to Happy, TX at a young age and graduated from Happy High School. He was a cowboy all his life. He also drove a cattle truck, farmed and ranched. He also ran a Western Wear Store and was part owner of Owl Feed Yard in Hereford. He was a two time Golden Glove Champion in high school. He married Freda Jo Balding in November, 1980. She died March 3, 2004.

His family includes three daughters: Shellda Jo Patino of Claude, Sonda Edmonds Williams of Amarillo and Felicia Hancock of Beaumont, one sister: Molly Sue Gaff of Canyon, five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
