Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Brooks Chapel. Burial will be in Happy Cemetery in Happy. Arrangements are by Brooks Funeral Directors of Canyon.
Molly Sue Edmonds Edwards Cawthon Graf was born May 8, 1931, in Portales, N.M., to George and Doll Bragg Edmonds. She married Charles Edwards in 1951, and they had four children. Later, she married H. D. “Dee” Cawthon in 1968. He had four children, and they became a wonderfully blended family. After his death, she married B.A. Graf in 1999.
Molly taught for many years in Canyon, Tulia and Happy. She loved camping, crafts, flowers, gardening and birds, but her greatest loves were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of several camping clubs and was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church of Canyon.
Molly was preceded in death by her parents; her three husbands; two sons, Bobby Dean Edwards and Jerry Don Edwards; a daughter, Cynthia Jo Henson, and a brother, Elmo “Boy” Reed Edmonds.
Survivors include six children, Homer “Dee” and Paula Cawthon, Lynnda and Johnny Baldwin, Kim and Brenda Cawthon, Jackie Edwards, Deward and Sally Cawthon, and Sherry Nichols; 19 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; three nieces, Shellda Patino, Sonda Edmonds and Felicia Hancock; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Brooks Chapel.
The family suggests memorials be to Happy Cemetery Association, P.O. Box 216, Happy, TX 79042, or to a favorite charity.
