Larry was born on April 30, 1934 in Carroll, IA, to John Paul and Wilda (Conner) Christy. He graduated from Humboldt High School and enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1954. Larry was stationed in both Japan and Hawaii. He spent most of his career as a meat salesman, retiring in 1996. His hobbies included fishing, reading and gardening. Larry loved the Iowa Hawkeyes, Chicago Bears and Dowling Catholic High School football.
Survivors include Larry's wife of 38 years, Nancy; children, Alison Christy-Rubin (Curtis Rubin) and Sean (Lorraine) Christy; grandson, Sam Christy-Rubin; siblings, Virginia Corson, Robert (Donna) Christy, Mary Ellen Clothier, Dan (Susan McNally) Christy, Jerry (Janice) Christy and Michelle Little. Larry was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Pat and Frank and twin sons, Timothy and Terrence.
