MONROE ~ Albert Bernet, 77, died Thursday, October 12th 1972, at home. Born in Switzerland, Mr. Bernet made cheese in the New Glarus and Monticello area after coming to the United States in 1915. In 1959 he retired to Monroe. Mr. Bernet was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ.

Surviving are his wife Anna, four sons, John, Monroe; Alvin, Monticello; Benny, Browntown; and Daniel, Blanchardville; four daughters, Mrs. William Nevel, Monroe; Mrs. Kermit Vamstad, Blanchardville; Mrs., Harry Hohn, Cedar Grove; and Mrs. George Stilson, Trenton, N. J.; a brother, Ernest in Switzerland; four sisters, Mrs. Ernest Leuenberger, Brooklyn; and Marie, Ida, and Margaret, all in Switzerland; twenty-three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the Shriner-Neushwander Funeral Homes, where friends may call after 2 p.m.
