GRUVER — Marian Tomlinson, 67, died Monday, Jan. 12, 2015.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in First Christian Church in Gruver with the Rev. Gary Gumfory officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Spearman.

Marian was born Feb. 25, 1947, in Amarillo to Warren Jeffries and Collen Rafferty Jeffries. Marian and David married on May 30, 1988, in Amarillo. She was a member of First Christian Church.

Marian loved her grandchildren so very much. She loved to watch the birds and share her findings of them in her backyard. Marian loved helping others and opened her home to anyone. She loved her dogs and playing bridge.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her first husband, Rex Shapley.

Survivors include her husband; her children, Bart Shapley of Prosper, Chris Tomlinson and wife Amaya of Germany, Dala Shapley Cathy and husband Tommy of Amarillo, Quincy Tomlinson Graeber and husband Roland of Neededville, Roma David Lynd Tomlinson of Birmingham, Ala., Tara Shapley Gardiner and husband Chad of Dallas; a sister, Janie Jeffries of Gruver; 10 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
