Aaron Rood, 74, Civil War Veteran, Dies At Pueblo
PUEBLO, Feb. 19 - Aaron Rood, founder and president of the Rood Candy company of Pueblo, veteran of the civil war and prominent in business circles thruout the state, died at a local hospital this noon, following an attack of influenza and pneumonia. He was 74 years old. Mr. Rood came to Colorado in 1872 and went into business at Boulder, later coming to Pueblo. As a member of the G. A. R. he held the distinction of probably being the only G. A. R. member in the United States whose mother is still living.
