Adeline Jakes, 83, of Montgomery, died Sunday, Dec. 22, at Faribault Manor.
Funeral services were held Friday, Dec. 27, beginning at 10 a.m. at Schoenbauer Funeral Home in Montgomery. Pallbearers were Dave, Ken, Steve and Marvin Jr. Jakes, Al Velishek and John Spoor.
Burial was at Bohemian National Cemetery in Montgomery.
Visitation was held at Schoenbauer Funeral Home on Thursday, Dec 26, from 4 to 8.
Adeline Jakes was born October 8, 1913 to Frank and Josephine (Fierst) Kuzel of Le Sueur County. She attended rural elementary school.
She was married November 10, 1931, to James J. Jakes and they farmed in Erin Township, where she was a homemaker. She enjoyed playing cards.
She is survived by two sons, Marvin Jakes Sr. and Robert Jakes, both of Montgomery; a daughter, Dorothy Kaderlik and her husband Albert of Lonsdale; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James J. Jakes, who died March 29, 1994; her parents; and a brother, Emil Kuzel.
