Henriette’s Mother: Martha “Mattie” E Kingsbury Spafford 1841-1877, daughter of William and Fanny E (Spring) Spafford, married Henry W. Spafford 1864 in Bennington, Vermont (4 children: Eva, Alton W, Henriette and Martha)

Henry W Spafford died in Seattle in 1911; he was buried at the place of his birth, Weathersfield, Vermont, next to his first wife, Martha. His widow, Ella, stayed in Seattle. At the time of the US Census in 1920, she was head of a Seattle household which consisted of herself, her single step-son, Alton (48yo), and her son, Samuel (28yo).
