MRS. O. E. COLBY
Easton, Nov. 2, 1903 --On last Friday afternoon occurred the death of Mrs. O. E. Colby one of the most highly esteemed ladies of this community. She took sick a short time ago with pneumonia and the best of medical aid was summoned but it was of no avail and she grew worse until the end. Mrs. Colby was 57 years of age and the mother of a large family, six boys and six girls, all of whom survive her with the exception of Hattie, who died about a year ago. She was a kind and loving wife and mother and was loved and honored by all who knew her. She was a member of the Rebecka lodge which had charge of the funeral. The funeral services were held at the house, Rev. Ralston officiating. The interment was made in the Bachtle cemetery Sunday afternoon followed by a large concourse of relatives and friends. We sympathize with the grief stricken husband and children in their deep affliction.
Children of Orison & Mary Ann Colby:
Hattie Johnson, Mary Louisa "Louise" Shoen, Carrie A. Harris, Charles C. Colby, William H. Colby, Birdette L. Colby, Bessie A. Jones, George E. Colby, Harry G. Colby, Sadie Wood, Lillian I. Wood and Roy M. Colby.
