The Decatur Herald, Decatur, Illinois; Tuesday, August 14, 1923; Page 3, Column 6 (about 2/3 down) - "Mrs. B. F. Cornell. Mary M., wife of B. F. Cornell, died in the family home, 631 West Main street, Monday morning at 8:25 o'clock. Her death was due to pneumonia. -- Mrs. Cornell, daughter of Nordica (Mordecai) and Malinda Adrian, was born April 25, 1865, in Edinburg, and was married to B. F. Cornell March 24, 1887. She leaves her husband and two children, Mrs. John H. Sibers and Hiram Cornell, of Decatur: also she leaves her mother, Mrs. Adrian and her sisters, Mrs. J. H. Brubeck and Miss Florence Adrian of Edinburg, and Mrs. R. E. Best of Decatur, and two grandchildren. -- The body was taken to the rooms of L. A. Monson. Funeral services will be conducted in the family home Wednesday afternoon at 3 o'clock."
