OBITUARY - ESTELLA S. HUFF - WEEPING WATER

Estella Sophiah HUFF, daughter of George and Emaline (ADYE) CASTOR, was born in Clark County, Iowa February 28, 1875, and entered into rest at Plattsmouth Manor on October 17, 1968 at the age of 93 years and 7 months.

She was married to Henry W. HUFF on Aug. 21, 1892, at Clark County, Iowa. To this union were born 13 children. She was preceded in death by her husband, 2 sons and 4 daughters.

Mr. and Mrs HUFF took a homestead near Bartlett, Neb., in March, 1900.

Mrs. HUFF served as matron of Wheeler County girls dormitory from 1934 to 1940. Since January 1. 1946 she has resided with her daughter and son-in-law Mr. and Mrs. Louis NOBLE in Weeping Water.

Survivors are: Mrs. Maggie COLLINS of Dos Palos, California, Mrs. Bernice PLETCHER of Bartlett, Nebraska, Mrs. Lulu HIDE of Gering, Nebraska, Mrs. Thelma KROGH and Mrs. Gladys NOBLE of Weeping Water; sons Andy HUFF of Naches, Washington, Floyd HUFF of Yakima, Washington; 33 Grandchildren 86 Great-Grand-children and 51 Great-Great-Grandchildren, a total of 177 living descendants.

Funeral services were held at the Hobson-Dorr Chapel in Weeping Water, Nebraska Oct. 19, at 11 a.m. I. C. G. CAMPBELL officiated the Congregational Church minister and Mrs. S. H. HARMON was the organist. Further services were held at the United Methodist Church in Bartlett, Nebraska with Rev. Curtis TRENHAILE, officiating Oct. 20. Burial was in Bartlett Cemetery.

Mrs. Florence LITCHENBERG was the organist. A quartet sang. Honorary pallbearers were James WELCH, Clifford BISHOP, Albert SUMMERS, Mark SUMMERS, Roy COOK, Melvin MIGNERY. Pallbearers were August McBRIDE, Emil PLUGGE, Carl NICHOLS, Cecil ATKINSON, Arthur TAYLOR, Gene PLETCHER.
