W.M. HAYES, 83, DIES AT DAUGHTER'S HOME NEAR BEN HUR
Funeral service was conducted Saturday afternoon at the Ben Hur Methodist Church by Rev. Mr. Smith for W.M. Hayes, age 83, whose death occurred Friday night, July 20 at the home of a daughter, Mrs. J.H. Brice, Mart route 2. Deceased was born in Alabama and had been a resident of Texas for more than 40 years. He was a kindly consecrated Christian gentleman and his home-going brought great sadness to his many loved ones. Surviving relatives include eight children:

Mrs. G.W. Hargrove, Mart
Mrs. J.H. Brice, Mart route 2
Mrs. H.B. Golightly, Thornton
Mrs. C.W. Coker, Groesbeck

and Mrs.E.R.Pierce of Jacksonville.
Interment was made in Kirk Cemetery with grandsons of deceased as pallbearers. E.P. Littlepage was in charge of funeral arrangements.
