Eileen Margaret Ryan Landes, 97, of Prairie Village, Kansas passed away January 9th, 2015 at a Care Home with family by her side.

Eileen was born August 6, 1917, in Dawson, Nebraska. She graduated from St. Mary’s Grade School, Dawson High School and from St. Mary’s Hospital School of Nursing in Kansas City, Missouri in 1938. She was preceded in death by parents, Margaret and Thomas Ryan; brothers, Thomas, Wilbrum, and Joseph Ryan; sons, Joseph, and Charles Timothy Landes; as well as grandsons, Daniel E., Daniel A., Ronnie, and Jeff Landes. Eileen was the beloved wife of 55 years to the late Harold Landes, and wonderful mother to 13 children. Surviving children include sons, Pat (Jean), Jack (Rosemary), Jim (Barb), Larry (Linda), and Steve; daughters include, Sharon Krulikowski (Ed), Margaret Coffman (Chuck), Francie Landes, Mary Landes, Terri Kimberlin (Dan), and Tena Loats (Tom); and daughters-in-law, Mary Eileen and Sharyl Landes. Eileen is also survived by 22 grandchildren, and 25 great grandchildren.

Eileen and Harold were founding members of Queen of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 7023 W 71st Street, Overland Park, Kansas 66204. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, January 13th at 10:30 am. The visitation and rosary will be held prior to the Funeral Mass from 9:30-10:30 am Tuesday at the church. Interment will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Lenexa, Kansas. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Queen of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church or Catholic Community Hospice, 9740 W 87th Street, Overland Park, Kansas 66212.
