Will Purser dead
Will Purser, the little cripple man who was so well known on our streets, met with sudden death last Monday evening from a stroke of paralysis.
He was driving his little goat team with a load of cotton seed on Maxwell Hill when the stroke fell, and he was carried to his home on West Alabama Street, where within an hour the final summons came.
His sudden death was a very pathetic one.
Though seriously handicapped by pronounced physical infirmities, he was very industrious and led a very active life.
At the time of his death, he was keeping a small lunch stand on East Tennessee St.
He was a native of this county and married, though had no children.
He is survived by his wife and a brother, the latter being a resident of Sheffield.
