Frye- William Floyd, 65, 124 Prospect Street, Avalon, died at 4:20 p.m. Nov. 12, 1962, at Suburban General Hospital, Bellevue, Pa. Born in South Fork Jan. 21, 1897, son of Cyrus and Sarah (Reed) Frye. Survived by widow, former Irene Barker, and daughter, Mrs. June Shackelford (Wallace) Avalon; also 1 granddaughter, Patti Jean; and 3 brothers- Albert and Samuel, both of South Fork, and John, Johnstown. Member of Greenstone United Methodist Church; Bellevue Lodge 530, A.F. & A.M.; Pennsylvania Consistory; Syria Temple; NACO Caravan 19, and Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers 325. Retired in April 1962, after 45 years of with PRR. Resident of Avalon past 40 years. Friends received at Lester C. McDonald Funeral Home, 529 California Avenue, Avalon, where service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday. Bellevue Lodge will hold Masonic service at 8 p.m. Wednesday. Burial in Allegheny County Memorial Park.
