Mrs. Sara Frye is 85 Years Old
SOUTH FORK - Mrs. Sara Frye of 805 Railroad St. is observing her 85th birthday anniversary today. She was born Apr. 8, 1863, in Westmoreland County.
She and her husband, Cyrus Frye, moved to South Fork shortly before the 1889 Flood. Mr. Frye died in 1923. The aged woman is the mother of 10 children, nine of whom are living. They are:
Albert, Samuel and Howard Frye; Ora, wife of Jesse Imler,and Mary, wife of George Hill, all of South Fork; Floyd, Avalon; Harrison, Wilkinsburg, and John and Elneth, both of Johnstown. There are 18 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

FRYE - Mrs. Sarah Catherine (Reed), 87, at 8:30 p.m. Feb. 15, 1950, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ora Imler, 805 Railroad Street, South Fork. Born Apr. 8, 1863, in Westmoreland County, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Reed. Her husband, Cyrus Frye, died in 1923. Survived by these children - Albert N. Samuel H. and Howard C. Frye and Mrs. Ora Imler, all of South Fork; Harrison W., Wilkinsburg; W. Floyd, Avalon, and John H. Frye, Johnstown; 29 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Services at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Christian & Missionary Alliance Church, South Fork, Rev. A.C. Kuntz. Burial, South Fork Cemetery. Friends received at George Funeral Home, South Fork, after 6 p.m. Thursday.
