After an illness of nearly two months, Augusta Badt, born 6 July 1862 at New Orleans, Louisiana, the daughter of Albert Spiro and Caroline Oehlber Spiro, died Thursday, 13 October 1892, at Mount Pleasant, Texas. Her husband, J. M. Badt, and seven young children survived her. "Friends of the Spiro, Badt, Marx, Wilzin and Schlesinger families" were "requested to attend" her funeral, which was to be held "from the residence of A. Marx, 514 Baronne street," New Orleans, Louisiana, on Sunday, 16 August 1892.
