Mr. Raymond W. Mears, 86, of 131 East Jefferson Street, Germantown, died Friday, May 13, at Kettering Medical Center. He had been a patient there for three weeks.
Mr. Mears was a native of Butler County and had worked as a farmer in the Franklin area all his life. He was a member of New Jersey Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by one son, Estel of Dayton; a stepson Gerald Wilson of Sioux City, Iowa; one brother, Carl, of Little Rock, Arkansas; and one sister, Caroline Updyke of Carlisle. There are three grandchildren.
Services were held Monday, May 16, at Unglesby Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Fulton officiating. Burial was in Springboro Cemetery.
