Annette Cecilia Baca-Armijo, age 56, was transformed into an Angel on December 31, 2014 surrounded by friends and family at home in Gallinas, New Mexico.
Annette was born to Susie Alires and Ismael Gonzáles on October 30, 1958 in Las Vegas, New Mexico.
Annette was a lifelong Catholic, and baptized at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Las Vegas. Annette attended school through the East Las Vegas school district and graduated from Robertson High School.
Annette retired as a secretary with Albuquerque Public schools in 2005. Her hobbies included singing, dancing, riding the Harley with her husband, Michael and spending time with her friends and family.
Annette was preceded in death by her mother, Susie Alires, brothers, Martín Baca, David Encinas and Gerald Gonzáles, nephew, Michael (Boo Boo) Baca, nieces, Vanessa Lovato and Michelle Martínez and brother-in-law, Edwin Lovato.
Annette is survived by her father, Ismael Gonzáles and his wife, Sylvia of Denver, Colorado, husband, Michael Armijo, daughter, Renae Baca and her partner, Shane Stowell of Hollywood, California, sons, Richard Martínez and Steven Sena of Glendale, Arizona, son, Craig Armijo of Santa Fé, New Mexico, sisters, Teresa Salazar of Las Vegas, Maxine Archuleta and her husband, James of Las Vegas, Viola Martínez and her husband, Alex Dimas of Las Vegas, Sylvia Martínez of Albuquerque, Antonia Martínez and her husband, Richard Palomino of Albuquerque, Patsy Lovato of Glorieta, Gloria Baca of Villanueva and Mary Martínez-Drumm of Winter Haven, Florida, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, and half-brothers and sisters.
Rosary services will be delivered by Lenore Ortega on Friday, January 9, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Las Vegas, NM. Funeral Services will be conducted on Saturday, January 10, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. also at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Father George V. Salazar as Celebrant. Interment will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Las Vegas, New Mexico with the following serving as Honorary Bearers, Christopher Martínez, Santiago Lovato, Benji Archuleta, Kevin Stoddard, Eugene Archuleta, Susan Martínez-Estrada, Diane Martínez, Mary Ann Martínez, Ernestine Archuleta, Antoinette Martínez, Yvonne Salazar, Dahlia Martínez and June Archuleta. Also serving as Honorary Bearers will be the rest of her nieces and nephews whom she loved very much.
