Last rites for Mrs. Mattie Pauline Amyx of Route 1, Sanger, will be held today at 3 pm in the Bolivar Church of Christ with Lonnie Yarbrough of Denton and John Pennisl of Fort Worth officiating.
Interment will be in Bolivar Cemetery under direction of Schmitz Floyd Hamlett Funeral Home of Denton.
Mrs. Amyx died at Denton's Flow Memorial Hospital Saturday at 4:30 pm. She was 74.
Mrs. Amyx was a resident of Denton County all of her life. She was married to the late W. R. Amyx and was a member of the Church of Christ.
She is survived by three sons, Glenn Amyx of Collinsville, Edwin Amyx of Fort Scott, Kansas and Alberle Amyx of DeSoto; three daughters, Mrs. Connie Winstead of Lewisville, Mrs. Pauline Dosier of Grapevine and Mrs. Edith Porter of Tyler; three sisters, Miss Mary Bates and Miss Winnie Bates, both of Bolivar and Mrs. Clyde Bentley of Valley View; one brother, Earl Bates of Sanger; 25 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
