Ardith D. Rigby, 81, Malta, beloved mother, sister and grandmother, died Friday, Dec. 18, 1998, at Cassia Regional Medical Center.

She was born Oct. 31, 1917, in Smithfield, Utah, the oldest daughter of Thomas and Anna Dennis. She attended schools in Malad and graduated from Idaho State University with a teaching certificate. She taught school in Juniper prior to her marriage to Fred Rigby on August 27, 1938, in Ogden, Utah. The marriage was solemnized in the Logan, Utah, LDS Temple on June 10, 1940. Following their marriage, the Rigbys lived in Sublett, where Fred farmed.

Ardith was an active member of the LDS Church, serving in many capacities. She was active in genealogy work. She loved reading and was a great cook and a skilled seamstress and produced a bounteous garden every year.

She was preceded in death by her husband and parents. Mother loved her family, flowers and Lawrence Welk. Her family is grateful for her life and her love. We look forward to a joyous reunion one day.
