Kingston Man Found Dead
Lafayette Weida, 65, Heart Attack Victim
   Lafayette (Nip) Weida, 65, a retired bartender of 126 Second Avenue, Kingston, was found dead at his home yesterday morning at 11 by his daughter-in-law, Mrs. Howard Weida, who became alarmed after she tried to get in touch with him several times by telephone.
   Mr. Weida was found on the bedroom floor, attired in his pajamas and bathrobe. Dr. Thomas Gildea, who had been treating him for, a heart condition, was summoned and pronounced Weida dead. Dr. Glides said Weida had been dead about 12 hours.
   Mr. Weida's wife Elizabeth is a patient at General Hospital where she was admitted a week ago. Deceased was born in Wilkes-Barre, son of the late Aaron and Henrietta Weida, and lived in the city until moving to Kingston three months ago.
   Mr. Weida was one of the best known bartenders in Wyoming Valley. He was employed at city hotels and some private clubs before retiring a year ago. He was a member of Bartenders and Waiters' Union. He attended Memorial Presbyterian Church.
   Surviving are his widow, the former Elizabeth Dietrich of Wilkes- Barre; three sons, Howard Weida, Kingston, owner of Parsons Floral Shop; William Weidow, Wilkes-Barre, florist associated with Mattern's Robert Weidow, New York State; sister, Mrs. Emma Meck, Wilkes-Barre; three brothers, George Weidow, Forty Fort; Ernest Weidow, New Milford; Harry Weidow, Scranton; and three grandchildren.
   Funeral will be held from the Luther M. Kniffen Funeral Home, 465 South Main Street, Monday at 10:30 with Rev. Arthur Geschwind of First Reformed Church officiating. Interment in Forty Fort Cemetery.
   Friends may call at the funeral home tonight 7 to 10 and Sunday 2 to 5 and 7 to 10.
