Matilda S. Cannon (also called "Tillie"), married Oscar C. Cannon, Sr. in 1904. Matilda and Oscar had a daughter Margarette in 1909; son Oscar C. Cannon, Jr., in 1912; and son Franklin in 1919. (There are two children buried with her, Howard and Ruth, but their births and deaths are unknown.) Oscar enlisted into the US Military on September 9, 1918 serving in WWI. He was listed on his records and in the Census as a "oysterman/shell fisherman in the bay". Matilda worked in the canning factory.
