THE PARIS NEWS, Sunday, November 29, 1998, page 4B:
'Travis Henry Hildreth, 76, of Paris, died Friday, Nov. 27, 1998, at his home. Bright-Holland Funeral Home will conduct services at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 29, at the Evangel Church of God, with the Rev. Lynn Hildreth and the Rev. Jonathan Back officiating. Burial will be in Providence Cemetery. Mr. Hildreth was born Jan. 9, 1922, in Chicota, a son of Henry and Mamie Annett Hildreth. He married Oletha Morrison Sept. 25, 1939, in Hugo. He was a member of the Evangel Church of God and the DAV. He served in the Army in World War II. Survivors include the wife; five children and their spouses, Sandra and Benny Sandlin of Kaufman, the Rev. Lynn and Betty Hildreth of Longview, Clint and Jeanie Hildreth of Paris, Joyce and the Rev. Jeff Fitzgerald of DeKalb and Darlene and Jerry McDowell of Paris; two sisters, Ruby Black of Denton and Lena Trulock of Pairs; seven grandchildren, Benny Ray, Cheri, Bret, Clint Jason, Chauncey, Dusty and Cody; and eight great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Benny Ray Sandlin, Bret Hildreth, Clint Jason Hildreth, Dusty Fitzgerald, Cody McDowell, Chris Caddenhead and Christopher Giordano.'
