Adam Lee Caviness was born on July 9, 1971, in Windom, Minnesota to Mark and Joyce (Jacobs) Caviness. He received his education in the Windom Public Schools; graduating in the Class of 1990. Adam then worked at TSC in Jackson, Minnesota for several years. For sometime, Adam played guitar for two bands, "Drybody" and "Pinky Salute". For the past fourteen years, Adam worked with individuals with disabilities and most recently was employed with RAI in Windom as a overnight client advisor. Adam had many enjoyments in life which included music, traveling to different music concerts in the area, his computer, time with friends, and his cat "Fabulous Moola".

On September 18, 2008, in the early morning hours, Adam passed away at his home in Windom at the age of 37.

He is survived by his parents, Mark and Joyce Caviness of Windom; fiancée, Stephanie Ulstad of Windom; one sister, Lisa Rose and husband, Kevin, of Windom; grandma, Irene Caviness of Windom; and two nephews, Taylor and Jordan Rose of Windom.

Adam is preceded in death by his grandma, Mildred Jacobs and great-grandma, Grace Ross of Worthington.
