Services will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m., at American Lutheran Church in Windom with Pastor Terry Frovik officiating. Burial will follow at Lake-view Cemetery in Windom.
Mark Lee Caviness was born Oct. 18, 1950, to Darrel and Irene Caviness in Jackson. He was baptized at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Jackson. Mark received his education from Jackson and Windom Public Schools.
In 1970, Mark married Joyce Jacobs in Windom. They lived in Windom where Mark worked as a paint scheduler in the paint department at Toro for 40 years.
In December, Mark was diagnosed with lung cancer.
Mark enjoyed collecting rocks, fossil hunting, fishing, photography, camping and spending time with his dog Daisy. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his father, Darrel Caviness; a son, Adam Caviness; and a brother, Wayne Caviness.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Joyce Caviness of Windom; a daughter, Lisa (Kevin) Rose of Windom; two grandchildren; his mother, Irene Caviness of Windom; a sister, Nancy Caviness of Windom; three brothers: Michael Caviness, Bruce Caviness and Brian Caviness, all of Windom; and Stephanie Ulstad of Windom.
