A celebration of her life will be at 10:30 a.m. today in First Baptist Church with Duane Pittman, longtime family friend, officiating. Burial will be in Stratford Cemetery by Morrison Funeral Directors.
Mrs. Donelson was born Oct. 31, 1914, in Hall County. She was a Stratford resident since 1942. She married Cone Donelson on Dec. 21, 1934, in Crane.
Juanita was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Stratford. She was the community nurse for many years, a marvelous cook, an avid china painter and a doting grandmother, affectionately known as Granny Goodwitch because of her Halloween birth date.
She was preceded in death by her parents, E.W. and Retta Butler; her husband, Cone Donelson; and a grandson, Tyler Donelson.
Survivors include two sons, B.A. Donelson and wife LeRayne of Stratford and Pat Donelson of Colorado Springs, Colo.; three grandchildren, Blynn Weldon, Barrie Breed and Cole Donelson; four great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson.
The family suggests memorials be to First Baptist Church Nursery Fund, P.O. Box 390, Stratford, TX 79084 or a favorite charity.
