Alma Duguay 1909-2007

At the Grand Falls Manor, April 16, 2007, Mrs. Alma Duguay of Grand Falls passed away at the age of 97 years. She was the wife of the late Arcade Duguay. Born at Drummond in 1909, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Alphonsine (Theriault) Beaulieu.

Mrs. Duguay was a charter member of St. Theresa's Circle of the Daughters of Isabella and an honorary life member of the Grand Falls Golden Age Club.

She is survived by three daughters, Doreen Nowicki of California, Ginette Walters (Lloyd) of Pearl River, Louisiana and Diane Duguay (Alain) of Sainte-Christine, Quebec, eight grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, three sisters, Laurette Desjardins (Antoine) of Drummond, Therese Senechal (Frank) and Odette Levesque (Real) of Saint-Andre, sisters-in-law, Yvette Beaulieu (late Aurele) of Grand Falls and Madeleine Beaulieu (late Pius) of Drummond, as well as nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three sisters, Lina Michaud, Marie Daigle and Ida Godbout and five brothers, Levite, Wilfred, Alcide, Aurele and Pius Beaulieu.

Resting at O'Regan's Funeral Home, 515 Everard Daigle Blvd., Grand Falls with visiting hours Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Her funeral will be held Saturday, April 21st at 11 a.m. from the Assumption Roman Catholic Church, Grand Falls, with interment in the Assumption Cemetery. Members of the Golden Age Club and Daughters of Isabella will meet for prayers Friday at 7:30 p.m. For those who wish, donations to the Grand Falls Manor Memorial Fund would be appreciated by the family.
