Bobby Rodman Hale, 86, of Willisburg, passed away at 2:10 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 27, 2014, at the Springfield Nursing & Rehab Center. A native of Washington County, born on Dec. 31, 1927, to the late James Elzie and Mae Bird Cooksey Hale. He was a member of the Willisburg Christian Church, a graduate of Willisburg High School and a retired farmer.

Preceding him in death was his first wife, Ruth Cornell Hughes Hale on Aug. 28, 1981; his second wife, Betty Hahn Hale on April 25, 2007; a granddaughter, Laura Beth Hale on July 22, 1987; a step grandson, Nathan Royalty on Jan. 31, 2007 and a brother, L.W. Hale on Sept. 13, 2004.

Survivors include, two sons, Blair Hale (Marilyn) and Mark Hale all of Willisburg; two daughters, Ruth Ann Tarter (Kelly) of Greenville and Mary Beth Blake (Doug) of West Chester, Ohio; a step-son, Tony Royalty (Angie) of Springfield; a step-daughter, Kitty Jane Stevens (Eddie) of Mt. Eden; eight grandchildren, Rachel Mattingly (David), Ashley Hale, Dr. Rhonda Swanson (Jon), Adam Hale (Kristy), Elizabeth Tarter, Zachary Tarter, Madelyn Blake and Meredyth Blake; three step-grandchildren, Brook Drury (Josh), Brittany Stevens and Derek Royalty; five great-grandchildren and two sisters, Maxine Coleman of Louisville and Marianna Mattingly (Bob) of Lebanon.

Funeral services were held at 12 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 30 at the Willisburg Christian Church with Bro. Adam Hale, officiating. Bro. Trent Baker assisted him.
Burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery at Willisburg.
