ALFRED L. COCKRUM, 62, of Memphis, died of heart failure Monday at Baptist Memorial Hospital East. Services were Wednesday at Hixson Brothers Funeral Home in Jena, La., with burial in Belah Cemetery in Trout,. La.

Mr. Cockrum, the husband of Linda Cockrum, also leaves a daughter, Darla Cockrum of Memphis, and a sister, Lyn Dell Cockerham of Jena.
