2nd KNOWN child, and ONLY KNOWN daughter born to the union of Robert Maben Carrigan & Sarah "Sallie" Davidson. Wife of Michael See III. Mother of AT LEAST 9. Born in the Odin area. Died in Kinmundy Township. Most sources state that she and Robert were married October 9th. The Illinois Statewide Marriage Index says October 7th. I suspect this is when they may have applied for the license.

OBITUARY :
NANCY JANE CARRIGAN, daughter of Robert and Sarah Carringan, was born December 10, 1835 near Odin.

She married Michael See on Oct. 9, 1854, and they had 9 children, 4 dying in infancy.

One daughter, Mrs. Cornelia See Anna died Aug. 26th leaving a little son, Hermann, who was left in this home until he served his country and paid the supreme sacrifice.

She is survived by 4 daughters - Adaline Yates of Altamont; Florence White of Amy, Colorado; and Misses Harriet and Clara See; and 1 grandson Carl White of Amy, Colorado; a granddaughter, Miss Rhea White; and great-grandson, Carl Ford White of Amy, Colorado; 1 brother - Samuel Carrigan at Carrigan Twp.

She died Dec. 21, 1920, and had lived in this county for 89 years.
