She taught school for many years, and then took care of her aging parents. She and her sister, Hattie, also made a home for their nephew, Herman Anna, who was left an orphan. They were greatly grieved when he met death in World War I.

Last surviving member of a family of 10 children, 2 sons, 7 daughters, and a half-brother. These preceding her in death were Samuel, Nancy, Leander, and Virginia, having died in infancy and childhood, Addie Yates, Florence White, Cornelia Anna, Hattie See, and Henry William See.
Remaining relatives to mourn her loss are Carl White and a niece, Rhea Lowe.
